Finding creative flow in our new clay workshop

Can you imagine doing yoga surrounded by nature-inspired art from the Cairngorms? It would be beautiful, wouldn't it and at the Spey Bank Studio, we are giving you that chance this autumn.

Our new new workshop, Yoga and Ceramics will help you relax and find your creativity.

Get moving

Our guest tutor is yoga teacher Izzy Dubois, who you might know from Crossfit Cairngorms in Aviemore, where she is a trainer. She will start the class at 9.30am, with an energising yoga flow, designed to get you warmed up and moving.

We're incredibly lucky to be just five minutes from amazing woodlands that surround Grantown-on-Spey so we thought we'd show you them too. After a short break for warm drinks and baked goods, Izzy and Angus Grant will lead the class to Anagach Woods. Here, you will have a relaxing and inspirational walk, searching for natural materials.

Found objects

These items will be used on your return to the studio, where the next stage is a ceramics workshop with Angus.

You'll use your hands to mould a ball of clay into a pinch pot. Then, using your natural items, you can create textures and prints on your creation.

Each pot will be left in the studio to dry out. Later Angus will glaze them and fire them in the studio kiln. We'll get back in touch when they're ready for you to collect.

How to book

The workshop will run on Sunday November 12, from 9.30am until approx 1.30pm. Places are limited so online booking is essential. The cost is £75 per person.

Hope to see you soon!
